Halloween

Once again it is Halloween! And if you have been in Alaska you know........ it's COLD. However we froze and went "trunk-or-treating." Well let me start at the beginning of the day. Braydon didn't have school today so my plan was to sleep in to at least 8:30 and we all know my plan didn't go as planed so we were up at 7:30. There was a trick-or-treat at the base hospital so we headed there around 10 and the kids started the traditional candy collecting! Well, since we were conveniently at the hospital and Braydon had the day off I decided to get Flu Shots..........go ahead tell me I am a mean mom. They did sit there and everyone received a shot without one complaint and not one tear shed, I was so proud of them. Later we went to the Trunk-or-Treat Ethan as a Skunk with a little heart on his rump that says "lil Stinker" and Braydon was Edward Cullen (Vampire) from the Twilight Saga. Oh, and Chrissy our German intern was a pumpkin. We froze for an hour while the kids walked from car to car collecting more and more candy (and thank you to the person who handed out toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss............I appreciated it!). Try for a moment to picture, in this church parking lot, Edward (Braydon) being chased by about 5 to 6 teenaged girls screaming Edward! Edward! and asking if they can kiss him......poor boy. When were done we we ended the night with pizza and a nice warm bath for the boys. Can't wait till next year..........Oh and Braydon has already decided to be Emmett Cullen next year, I am sure he will forget though. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Braydon's 7th Geburtstag

He is finally 7 years old and saying that really makes me feel old. He had a great birthday he got all that he wanted (Heeleys, a drum set, more DS and Wii games plus a load of cash he can not wait to spend). He also enjoyed his party that he had at the Imaginarium. I was absolutely thrilled when he chose the Radical Reptile theme seeing as how I love snakes and all (LOL). We were lucky because Daylon hasn't left yet on his TDY so at least he was there to supervise the snakes, bearded dragons and alligators. It was lots of fun anyway lots of his friends were there and of course the cake and ice cream too.
Since I am on the subject of Braydon anyway I will let you all know he is doing great he still loves schule (school) and speaks German pretty fluently he goes over 3 hours every day only speaking a foreign language and for a 1st grader I think that is pretty good. He is such a responsible kid and beyond his years in so many ways. We love him to death and he can't wait to be baptized next year.
